ATTITUDE
A MENTAL HEALTH SUMMIT FOR AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMEN

Attitude is a transformative mental health summit designed exclusively for African American women. This powerful event provides a safe and supportive space to address the unique challenges faced by women in the community while celebrating their resilience, strength, and contributions to society. Attitude made its sold out debut January 2020 and has since held annual sold-out summits in 2022, 2023, and 2024!

Through engaging workshops, dynamic panel discussions, and impactful keynote speakers, Attitude fosters open conversations about mental health stigma and shame, suicide and depression, financial health, and spiritual wellness. The summit emphasizes breaking stigmas, building supportive networks, and equipping women with tools to prioritize their emotional and mental well-being. Attendees will explore strategies for managing stress, overcoming barriers, and navigating life with confidence and self-assurance.

Attitude isn’t just an event—it’s a movement to empower African American women to own their mental health journey, build connections, and embrace their power. Join us for an inspiring weekend of growth, healing, and community as we redefine mental health for the Black woman!

The 2023 ATTITUDE conference was an incredible experience! The level of love, power, and community I felt is something I haven't experienced with that many Black women since before the pandemic. Thanks to you & your entire team for creating that space for us💓.

Diedra Martin-Banks, AZ

Attitude provided me with all the proper motivation to restart my emotional and mental health journey, as well as my financial goals and so much more. I am ever hopeful with what I learned and grateful for the resources.

A wonderful time of mental challenge, mental and spiritual healing and genuine sisterhood among the women! The presenters, spoken word artists and singers were fabulous. Roicia Banks is doing a great job reaching a population that has been for too long overlooked: African American women! So grateful for her expertise, compassion and authenticity!

The social roots event was wonderful it filled my heart with joy I had doubt in myself to go by myself and be around other strong black women because of my own insecurities but after this sisterhood event every speaker was amazing and touch my heart it was plenty of love n the building great food great vendors and plenty of raffles and giveaways great vibes and all beautiful black women I'm definitely coming to the next one with my head held high thanks so much!"

I attended the Attitude, mental health summit in January 2024, and that experience changed my life! The speakers were excellent, the food was to die for, and the women that I met there, I have made new friendship and new business connections! This was the last attitude here in Phoenix and I loved it so much that I will be going to North Carolina for attitude 2025. I’m a huge fan of this organization and the work that they do!!

Last weekend I attended the ATTITUDE conference for the 3rd year in a row curated and hosted by Roicia Banks Stewart of Social Roots LLC and what a time we had the sessions ranged from somatic trauma, AARP (you don’t have to be 55 to join you can join NOW) , and taking off our capes being the “Strong Black Woman”, take your strong black woman cape off it doesn’t pay you enough it only leads to stress, depression, anxiety 😥 and last but not least death ☠️ (And we had bomb food) by a black female caterer Pinch & Stone.
Every black woman in Phoenix should of been at this conference it’s that good, and my sister even came and she don’t be going nowhere…lol
Now I have an attitude that ATTITUDE is continuing but relocating to North Carolina…lol 🤣 but all is well now I have a reason to go to N.C. ATTITUDE 2025! #mentalhealth #socialrootsllc #avisionturnedintoreality

"Love the mission, love the CEO! Social Roots put on an amazing event that didn't want to end! I can't wait until the next one!"

I just attended Attitude: A Mental Health Summit for African American Women 2023. OMG! What a time! I left feeling hopeful that this generation will know how to take care of the little ones coming behind them. I learned about things of which I was not familiar, such as "Womanism." Oh, yes! The summit spoke to so many parts of me! And the energy of support was like none other! Kudos to all the women who showed up, and of course, Ms. Roicia herself, for allowing this vision to flow through her. Well worth the investment!

Social Roots, LLC created such a wonderful, safe space for the attendees of ATTITUDE this month. Traveling to a foreign state for the first time alone, was something I had never done before. The women there made me feel so safe and at home, I almost forgot I was alone. Social Roots, Black Women Mental Health Summit really created a space of healing and growth. It helped me remember my purpose, power and presence. Thank you Roicia and everyone that helped her make it happen, as the experience was truly life changing.

Just wow!!! The love and support shared amongst complete strangers was remarkable to witness! You could tell everyone in the room knew they were surrounded by SISTERS...this was a SAFE PLACE to share...be vulnerable...heal parts of yourself that you may have been unaware you were hurting from...I was only there for Day 2 of the Social Roots Attitude Summit and I left feeling FULL. I can only imagine how much more I could have gotten from the entire weekend but I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity....a big takeaway was knowing how far your reach can go with a COMMUNITY standing behind you, rooting for you! This is not a competition, we ALL can win! THANKFUL for the LOVE, the SUPPORT, the EFFORTS given to create safe spaces with the necessary tools and guidance. These spaces allow our sisters, our community to grow, heal, and be the best versions of themselves.... thank you so much Social Roots for having me be a part of something so special! ❤️✨️

Last weekend, we were blessed by Roicia Banks Stewart once again with her final Social Roots LLC Phoenix-based Attitude conference. Catering by Pinch & Stone was yet again amazing, and ALL the sessions healed, taught, or helped us to grow in some way. To be in a room with so many beautiful black women and uplift one another and worship together on Sunday was a blessing for my soul and the Sound Healing Therapy was next level peace for me this go around. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Ro! You lavished is with gifts, food for the soul and body, love, and so many blessings-I pray that they return to you tenfold. I’m looking forward to your premiere of the conference in your new City of Charlotte!

"The ATTITUDE summit was more than I expected. Great speakers with a wide range of information. The empowerment that was felt throughout the room was Amazing."

Tandie Myles, AZ

The annual Additude Conference : African American Women Mental Health Summit is definitely an event to attend for every black woman no matter your background. Being around women that look like you that have similar goals, values, and experiences is an experience we as black women do not get often and is much needed. I definitely left feeling inspired, challenged, and my cup full. There was so much love and wisdom all around us. The food, the venue, speakers were great as well as interesting/relevant & real topics for breakout sessions. I will be there next year as well as a list of friends too. Thanks for catering to the black woman and our unique needs.
