The mission of the Social Roots Foundation is to
champion social and economic justice while fostering education and enhancing access to mental health information and resources for underserved Indigenous and African American youth, young adults, and families.

 

Our vision is to empower BIPOC communities through
the implementation of comprehensive service initiatives, mentorship programs, scholarships, and mental health career readiness, all crafted to nurture the potential of young adult women and foster individual and community well-being.

ABOUT OUR FOUNDATION

Welcome to the Social Roots Foundation!

The Social Roots Foundation was founded on December 1, 2021 by Roicia Banks, MSW, MLS, and we have been creating safe spaces for community and healing ever since! All programs have transitioned into the Social Roots Foundation and you can find information regarding information on cultural programming and special events here! 

This one-time scholarship of $1,500.00 supports TWO African American Women, Descendants of Enslaved African Women, and Femmes pursuing careers in the Mental and Behavioral Health fields.
