SHE REMEMBERS
Digital Storytelling Series
She Remembers seeks to authentically tell the stories of young Black girls and women ages 16 to 24 who are part of the Social Roots Foundation’s Ms. Attitude Program.
Through their voices, experiences, and journeys, the film will highlight the transformative power of representation, identity, and community in shaping their paths toward mental wellness and future success.

"What excites me the most is the chance to amplify real stories from real women in a way that honors their humanity and brings the beauty out of their unique experience."-Cayla Jordan, SRF Director of Storytelling
Our mission is to capture how Ms. Attitude empowers participants to embrace their identity, strengthen their mental health, and nurture their spiritual and emotional well-being. By showing the importance of mentorship, community support, and cultural connection, their leadership skills are strengthened. This film will emphasize that wellness is not just individual, it’s collective.
This documentary will demonstrate how the Ms. Attitude Program is cultivating a generation of confident, resilient, and self-aware young women who are not only prepared for their future but also empowered to lead, heal, and inspire others.
